The Open Book$ Project exists
to give you a clear look at how taxpayer's dollars are being spent on K-12
education throughout the state. A coalition of concerned citizens and educators,
powered by the Chalkboard Project, listened to Oregonians around the state ask
for transparency and more details about how money is spent on schools in Oregon.
Open Book$ answers those questions.
The site was designed to give
you the facts on school spending in an easy-to-understand format. You can view
our own district's spending, compare it to other districts and see statewide
averages. We invite you to explore the site and learn more about how your
dollars are being used for education.
