Compose a letter to a college or trade school of your choice asking for an application.

Review creating a template/letterhead.

Create your own letterhead for a fictional company using the draw toolbar ONLY. Save it as a template. You will need to print it off and bring it up as a template in front of me for full credit. The top five letterhead will receive EXTRA CREDIT.

Time to do some catching up. Complete Multicolumn1 and Multicolumn2. Please turn in.

How to make an organizational chart. Using the draw toolbar and the new Insert Deagram or Organizational Chart feature. Create an organizational chart of your fictional company (use the company from the letterhead). Your company will have at least 13 employees. Don't forget job titles and names.

Finish the organizational chart that we began yesterday. Print it out and turn in. Make sure that it fits on one page.

While the Drawing toolbar is up, let's do some drawing. You're not going to use the Paint program for this one Mr. Foxen. Reproduce the two pages from the worksheet. Save as "Draw" and print out both pages on one sheet of paper. This must be done from the print dialog box.

Creating a multicolumn document using a table instead of creating columns in the format menu. Complete Multicolumn5 worksheet and print out.

Creating an outline using the outline feature in Microsoft Word. Click over to the outline view and then select format/bullets and number and select the outlined numbered tab. Choose the numbering that goes I. A. 1. this is the numbering for an outline. Next bring up the Outline toolbar, you will need this to promote or demote using the green arrows. Create an outline of the last paper that you wrote in school. Save it as Outline - print out and turn in.

Here is a great trial run at the final exam in a couple of weeks. You will complete the "Canyon Bank" worksheet with no help from me or your classmates.

Please print out when completed and make sure you have it saved as "canyon bank" in your linux 5 folder.

If finished, please check your grade (the PASS system has been updated) and make sure all work is turned in.

Introduction to Mail Merge, and the if, then, else option.

Mail Merge - Using tools/mailmerge/ create a source document, a record of 10 recipients (people), their names, and their birthdays, and a merged document of the six letters. Save as mailmerge source, mailmerge data, and merged letters.

Your letter should be block formatted and include the birthday and an if, then, else statement option.

Don't print out!

Read carefully (Evan and Dan)

Continue with mail merge. Print out the source letter. This is the document before it was merged into 10 letters. Next , print out the document with the 10 letters but print it out on two pieces of paper by printing it out as 6 pages per sheet. Now, stape these three documents together with the original letter on top and turn in to the basket.

When finished, make sure you have the Canyon Bank flyer from last Friday completed.

Learning how to 10-key. Make sure that the "Num Lock" light on your keyboard is lit.

Open up Microtype 4. Select "numeric keypad." There are 6 lessons - do lessons 1 through 4. Print out the lesson summary after you finnish each one. Staple all four summaries together and turn in.
