ADVANCED PLACEMENT UNITED STATES HISTORY ONE-PAGER

You will complete one for each unit of study

 

Directions:

Ø Use unlined white paper

Ø Select a theme or quotations(s) dealing with the unit and write

Ø  them on the paper.

--Use them as a springboard to explore your own ideas.

Ø Use a visual image or images, either drawn or cut out from magazines, to create a central focus for your page.

Ø Cluster around this image(s) impressions, feelings, or thoughts regarding what you have read or researched.

Ø Develop a question or two and answer them

Ø Create the one-pager in such a way that your audience will understand something of your thinking about what you have read or researched.

Ø Feel free to use colored pencils, pens, crayons, markers, etc.…

-        The more visually appealing, the more your peers can learn from your pattern.

 

OR

 

Create a concept map using the Inspiration program on the classroom computers. 

-         List what you think are the 5 to 10 main concepts of the unit. 

-         Cluster around these concepts related concepts and show how they influenced each other.

-         Create a map that shows what you learned and what you think is important in order to understand the unit.

-         Quotes and pictures should be used to highlight important events and feelings.
