JV1
Schedule (all weekday games start at 5 PM) - Jamie Lacey March 12th -
Summit JV @ Sisters JV |
JV2
Schedule (all weekday games start at 5 PM) Gary Pepperling and Cailen McNair March 15th
South Salem JV2 @ Sisters JV2 |
JV Warnings: You need to know that MT View games may not
happen. They are trying to pull it
together, but I am not optimistic.
Travel we will be taking the short white bus to games. There may be games when some of the boys will
be asked to carpool. If your son is
planning on traveling with another student, a note must be turned into Pinky
expressing your wishes. No note, no
travel.
Team Parent We want to have a team parent
at each away game in case a player gets hurt and needs to go the Emergency
Room. This will allow the coach to stay
with the team and get the boys home safely.
If you would like to coordinate this, let Coach Rexford know.
Captains Nick Pepperling and Norm Emberton,
President John Liming; Vice President Jeremy Evan; Judicial Council Jacob Evan, Trevor Summers, Thad Anderson
The boys have been working on how they want
to run the club and what words define us as a team. These words will be made public before spring
break.
We need to get all the fields lined by the 27th, Saturday, by 10
AM. We have 22 teams signed up. In addition to the 5 fields we will
line by the high school, we will also line 2 fields at the Middle School.
A parent is needed to oversee that all tasks get done.
Tasks:
Food Costco run and snacks
T- shirts - ordered, but we need someone to sell
Porta Johns done
Field Supervision varsity players will man each field and make sure there are
balls and keep time.
Field Set Up goals placed, field lined, benches placed, tables placed, etc.
Field Clean Up all garbage picked up, goals put back, benches put back, etc.
Players can help, but someone needs to supervise
Official Table blow the horn to start and end games and direct teams to the
right field.
Uniforms
we purchased white jerseys, but have no black jerseys.
Scholarships.
2 kids this year. Gear and Dues.
Youth
We have the interest, but we need gear for 5th and 6th
grade and really grades 1 thru 4 as well. The cost is 100 bucks for youth
gear. Understandably, parents dont want to shell out so much money for
gear their kids will have to replace when they get bigger.
Fundraising:
BuckBoard
year round. Focus on Holidays.
SOAR Tent Raising. SOAR is turning over the tent
raising business to the lacrosse team. We have already booked:
Flyfishing
Jazz/Folk Festival
Sisters in Sisters
We need to have the boys there for set up and
take down. If I cant be there, another adult needs to step up and
oversee this function. We can expect through rebookings
close to 6 thousand dollars. If we market our services, we could easily
get 10,000 a year, and our budget worries vanish.
Team
Contact Sheet I have a dynamite aide this trimester and
she will be pulling this together for us.
Team
Historian collect all articles written about the team and
distribute at the end of the season. Football did a DVD that was pretty
sweet. Ours can be simple.
Camp -
for next summer that many boys can attend. It should not conflict with
football. The Oregonlax.com web page has information on this.
Special thanks to Mr. Evan for manufacturing 2 top
quality goals. We now have 6 goals and nets.
